I’m Clare Matschullat, and I’ve lived the cancer journey. As a 28-year survivor, I know the fear, anger, and uncertainty that can make it hard to breathe after a diagnosis. Over the past decades I’ve been a patient, caregiver, researcher, fundraiser, and advocate—work that’s given me a deep understanding of how real people move through a complex healthcare system.

Very early on I learned the importance of second opinions, choosing the right oncologist and medical center, and asking the right questions at the right time. Since then, I’ve dedicated more than twenty-five years to building the knowledge, skills, and network to help patients, caregivers, and survivors get the best diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care available to them.

Our healthcare system wasn’t designed with patients like us in mind—but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Whether you’ve just received a preliminary diagnosis, you’re comparing treatment programs or clinical trials, or you’re caring for someone you love, I’ll help you move from overwhelm to clarity and action.

My mission is simple: I will advocate for you until you’re ready and able to advocate for yourself. My ultimate goal is to make myself obsolete—by equipping you with the information, language, and tools to make confident decisions and communicate effectively with your care team. Until then, I’ll work alongside you to clear obstacles and keep your plan moving.
